Legal Advisor/Senior Legal Advisor
Reporting directly to the CEO, the incumbent will take responsibility for providingkey strategic legal advice, interpretation of law and assisting in decisions on legalaction. Candidates must have a law degree and an LLB with at least 5 years’ postqualifying experience. Senior Prosecutor
The incumbent will take responsibility for developing terms of reference forinvestigations and oversee investigations by external investigators, internal inspectorsand take subsequent enforcement action. Additional areas of responsibility willinclude presenting cases at Tribunal hearings, overseeing and guiding prosecutorsand legal advisers in respect to enforcement issues, and interacting with externalcounsel. Ideal candidates will have a 4-year legal degree with at least 5 years’ relevantexperience, some of which must have been involved in litigation in an investigationsfirm, regulatory agency, the credit industry or at a law firm. Complaints Manager

Financial Controller
The incumbent will report to the CFO and will be responsible for the day-to-daymanagement of the finance department and will ensure compliance with the IRFS,GAAP and GRAP. Candidates must have a 3-year Bachelor’s degree in Accountingand Financial Management with experience in the public sector, knowledge of IRFSand strong managerial experience within the past 5 years. Media Liaison Officer
The successful candidate will respond to media enquiries in respect of the NationalCredit Act and will disseminate information about the work of NCR, manage internaland external communications, and media liaison. The candidate will be responsiblefor implementing a public relations strategy. The ideal candidate will have a relevant3-year tertiary qualification, have experience in public relations and communication,and have good report writing skills. Prosecutor
Areas of involvement will include developing terms of reference for investigations,conducting investigations, assessing investigation reports and advising onenforcement action, presenting cases at Tribunal and/or courts and providingguidance to inspectors/investigators. Compliance Analyst: Registrations
The key focus will be to analyse compliance returns, assurance engagement reportsand annual financial statements of banks and other credit providers in order toidentify potential areas of non-compliance. This will include producing terms ofreference for investigations, and regular monitoring of compliance matters, marketingmaterial, loan agreements as well as development guidelines and relevant policies.Candidates must have a relevant 3 or 4-year tertiary qualification in Accounting,Auditing and /or Law with at least 3 years’ relevant experience. Supervisor: Debt Counselling Support Systems
The incumbent will take responsibility for the following: drafting relevant policies,procedures and service level agreements; monitoring service level agreementsentered into with services providers; providing support and information packs tonewly registered Debt Counsellors; processing Debt Counsellors’ applications forregistration to access NCR fund for low-income consumers, handling disputesbetween Debt Counsellors and Payment Distribution Agencies as well as FeeManagement Agencies; liaising with Fee Management Agencies regarding claimsfrom Debt Counsellors. Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree, at least5 years’ working experience of which 3 years should be at supervisory level. Auditor: Debt Review Programme
The incumbent will provide advice on specific credit issues inclusive of, but notlimited to, the National Credit Act and related legislation, undertake legal risk detection and assessment, and conduct research and render advice on policymatters. The ideal candidate will have a BCom Law degree with at least 3 years’post qualifying experience, ideally in banking/financial services, a prosecution orenforcement agency or in a law firm. Ref. Senior HR Officer
The incumbent will take full responsibility of the payroll function, includingadministration of benefits and ensuring efficient HR service delivery. Debt CounsellingMonitoring Officer (x2)
The incumbents will be responsible for supporting, monitoring and evaluatingdebt counselling services provided to consumers. The key focus will be to resolvecomplaints received from consumers related to debt counsellors and paymentdistribution agencies. Candidates must hold a relevant degree or diploma in Lawor Commerce and have at least 3 years’ relevant experience. Ref. No. NCR12

Consumer Education Officer
The successful candidate will facilitate workshops with consumers or consumerrepresentatives (e.g. shop stewards, employees etc) to educate and create awarenessof consumer rights in the National Credit Act as well as the function of the NationalCredit Regulator. Ideal candidates will have a relevant 3-year tertiary qualificationwith at least 2 years’ relevant experience, ideally in consumer education.Ref. No. NCR13

Inspector
The incumbent will develop terms of reference for investigations, oversee andassist in investigations by external investigators, lead evidence in Tribunal hearingsand/or courts, conduct investigations, obtain affidavits and evidence to presentto the Tribunal and/or courts, apply for search warrants and write reports. Candidatesmust have a relevant 3-year tertiary qualification or alternatively have in excessof 3 years relevant experience. Experience in an investigations firm, regulatoryagency, the credit industry or law firms is essential, while a proven track record ofdealing with conflict will be advantageous. Ref. No. NCR14

Junior Bookkeeper
The purpose of this position is to perform complex bookkeeping and clerical workinvolving the creation and maintenance of official NCR records, with the primaryresponsibility being the management of accounts payable function in compliancewith PFMA. The incumbent will also be require to perform the following:Management of receipt, approval and accurate processing of invoices, preparationof payment via EFT and where necessary manual cheques, ensuring propermaintenance of accounts payable subsidiary ledger and general ledger, allocationand recording of fixed assets, general ledger and bank reconciliations etc. Candidatesmust have a BCom degree or 3-year Diploma in Accounting with a minimum of3 years relevant working experience. The incumbent will render both administrative and secretarial support to theExecutive Office (CEO and COO) as well as manage and co-ordinate all activitiesin the office. Candidates must have a tertiary qualification and at least 3 yearsexperience as a Personal Assistant with members of senior management. A goodcommand in English, the ability to work independently and good interpersonaland communication skills are essential. Experience in a legal or regulatorybackground will be an advantage.
