Complaints
NCR is responsible for dealing with complaints related to the National Credit Act, The Usury Act No. 73 of 1968, The Exemption Notice of 1999 and the Credit Agreements Act No. 75 of 1980. The NCR also acts as a mediator in disputes arising between consumers and credit providers or credit bureaux in terms of these Acts.
Where informal resolution is not possible, the NCR may issue compliance notices or refer the matter to the National Consumer Tribunal.
